The island's capital, Funchal has an unmistakable British atmosphere amid its cobbled streets, fishing harbours and wine lodges. Funchal has a wealth of things to do - visit the 15th-century cathedral or explore the islands' landscaped gardens. Although there is no beach, there is a seafront lido and various beaches a short drive away down the coast.

We are extremely lucky to be able to offer this exclusive break to the beautiful island of Madeira. Usually stipulating a minimum stay of 7 nights we have been able to secure this special package flying out on the 26 December and returning on the 30 December. One of the main advantages of this is being home for Christmas, escaping to relax for a few days of luxury before returning home again in time to see in the New Year. Madeira is one of Europe's oldest travel locations and many thousands of tourists return year after year. It offers not only a pleasant year round climate and wonderful fauna and flora, it is also virtually crime free and one of the safest holiday destinations in the world.
